Goodwill (and ARC) Hunting

On Tuesday, my mom and I set off for a venture down to Denver. The reason was two-fold. It was going to be a record-setting 80 degrees and Tuesday is senior day at the ARC thrift. That means half off (if my mom pays).

We also hit a couple of Goodwills for good measure.

Since it was a stifling hot day for this tundra girl, I decided to take a peek at the summer clothes. I am soooo over sweaters.

Below are some pics of  just some of my loot. Almost everything was brand new or barely used.  Some things still had price tags!  (you can click on the picture for a closer look).

This skirt and tank were both brand new. The top is Ann Taylor Loft. Outfit Cost: $10

Top:  Banana Republic. Skirt still had tags-  but the price was ripped off so I dont know what the original price was.  Cute sandals to match. Outfit cost:  $13 This is really cute in real life : )

The t-shirt was brand new.  The skirt reminds me of going on a picnic. It has a linen look. (or maybe it is linen. I should look at the label). Outfit total:  $6

Coldwater Creek skirt.  Label cut of out of tank.  I dont ever shop at CWC because I think the clothes are too "old" for me.  But this was cute.  Outfit total $5

Okay peeps, someone needs to invite me over for a spring dinner or bbq. : )  OR if you have a fancy event in mind, I am ready for that as well.

The chiffon jacket is AT Loft, Skirt Guess, Shoes Guess.  (I already had the skirt from a previous ARC visit).  Shoes $7, Jacket $5

Here is a close-up of the shoes.

I also got these cute shoes for $5 at the GW.

I told my friend Lorraine that I dont know why I keep buying strappy sandals when I have no place to wear them.  She said " thats okay, you work from home, you really can wear them everyday if you want."  Gotta love her!

I hope you are wearing those shoes today! You got such good deals!! I really like the second outfit (tiered grey/blue skirt and tank). Super cute. Not sure about the denim skirt...may be a little overly Laura Ingalls for my liking, but it could be cute on.

Lex loci is Latin for "law of the place," I am Lori. This is my gigantic blog about life, law and whatever amuses or irritates me at the moment. I am a high country dweller and as you may come to see, the world is a little skewed when you are at the top. I live here with my husband, Matt. He claims to have searched the world over to find me, but I know for a fact, he rarely left Breckenridge. We share our space with a pound hound, a very out of place chihuahua and, sometimes, with our 20 year old son, Chase. I practice law, often in my pajamas.
